Webinar - Exploring Apprenticeships in Chemical and Process Engineering - 27th February at 10am

Chemicals North West and IChemE are seeking employers to take part in a virtual focus group that’s being held on 27 February. If your organisation is currently or considering employing technical apprentices or degree apprentices in a chemical and process engineering environment, then we’d love to hear from you.

The focus group will look to bring together a group in a relaxed, moderated setting to assist Chemicals Northwest (CNW) and IChemE in gaining a better understanding of stakeholder opinions and perceptions of apprenticeships in the Chemical and Process Engineering Sector. The group will look at the benefits and challenges of recruiting, supporting, and developing apprentices / degree apprentices in an environment where safety / process safety is of paramount importance. Participants will also be asked to explore how they see the role and profile of IChemE when considering the development of the technician community.

Feedback and comment gathered as part of the part of the event will be shared with the participants, Chemicals Northwest and IChemE. It is hoped that the discussions generate valuable insights, diverse perspectives, sector insight and appropriate challenges. IChemE is committed to developing a professional home for Technicians and contribution of the focus group will provide a firm foundation for this.
