Chemicals Northwest Sustainability Interest Group - 13th February 2025
Following on from our successful launch in November, the next Sustainability Interest Group event will take place on Thursday 13th Feb 2025 at Daresbury.
Webinar - Exploring Apprenticeships in Chemical and Process Engineering - 27th February at 10am
The group will look at the benefits and challenges of recruiting, supporting, and developing apprentices / degree apprentices in an environment where safety / process safety is of paramount importance. Participants will also be asked to explore how they see the role and profile of IChemE when considering the development of the technician community.
PFAS Contamination on Industrial Sites: Understanding Liability, Maintaining Compliance and Creating Opportunity in association with John F Hunt Regeneration
Legacy PFAS contamination poses significant challenges for operational chemical plants and those undergoing decommissioning or shutdown, with potential long-term environmental liabilities and barriers to future site redevelopment.
