Who should attend?
Anyone responsible for classification and labelling as well as those accountable for wider product stewardship issues should attend.
You’ll get the most out of the course if you have some knowledge of the current classification and labelling system. Don’t worry if you don’t - get in touch with us and we’ll help you get up to speed.
Why attend?
On 20 January 2009 the EU Regulation on Classification, Labelling and Packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP) came into force for all member states including the UK. It is based on an international agreement known as the Globally Harmonised System (GHS). Even after Brexit, the EU CLP Regulation is retained in GB law – do you know what this means for your business? This training course will help you find out.
Our experts are a talented bunch – not content with just knowing all there is to know about REACH, they have in-depth knowledge of the CLP regulation too.
Tackling the business and technical implications of the United Nations’ Globally Harmonised System (GHS) and the GB and EU’s Regulation on CLP will be high on the list of priorities for most people already dealing with REACH.
Responding to our subscribers’ requests for help we are offering this two-day training course designed to help you understand the impact of the CLP regulation on your business and what you must do to comply. Day 1 gives you background on the CLP regulation and GHS and looks at the business implications and how to plan for implementation. On day 2 you will undertake practical exercises on case study examples, learning the basic skills required for classification and labelling under CLP.
