Chemical Industries Association Calls on Government to Turn Household Energy Relief into a Plan for British Industrial Competitiveness
On 28 October 2026, Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves delivered her Budget, setting out a package of measures aimed at supporting households, boosting investment and strengthening economic growth. While welcoming a number of positive announcements for manufacturers, the Government must now go further by turning energy bill relief into a broader plan to restore industrial competitiveness, attract investment and secure strategically important domestic production.
